Staybridge Suites, Mukilteo General Contractor: Wright Construction This project consists of multiple floors of post tension and pan deck, and slab on grade concrete work. For earlier progress on this project please click here. With the pan deck having hardened up over the weekend the framers waste no time in placing their walls for the top level.
The top level of pan deck getting poured today with the help of a 61 meter pump, one of the largest in Washington. The iron workers continue to build the support for the next section of pan deck.
All the elevator and stairwell cores are now complete.
The 61 meter pump dwarfs the tower crane.
The last remaining cores are being poured today with help from a 42 meter pump truck to top off the forms.
More pan deck has been poured along with a slab near the pool area, leaving two more floors of pan deck, the cores and a few perimeter walls to finish.
Pan deck continues to be laid down for more floor pours, while the Patent forms get ready to move another level higher on the stairwell and elevator cores.
Waterproofing covers the entire east perimeter wall now, and work on the elevator and stairwell cores continues with two of them being poured today along with a short section of wall.
The west half of the first pan deck is poured and rebar placement is coming along well inside the cores.
The second story outer wall along the southern and eastern perimeters has been poured and stripped.
The steel framing is going up quick, as are the cores for the stairwells and elevators.
With the blankets removed from the post-tension slab the layout for the steel framers to start their walls is almost done. Meanwhile, work on the second level cores is getting ramped up.
It was an early start for the final post-tension deck pour, with flood lights necessary to set up. Two pump trucks were required due to 800 plus yards of concrete to put down over an area too large for one boom to reach it all.
The power trowels are beginning to work the finish as the last section of concrete is poured.
The west half of the post-tension deck that was poured last week is ready for layout.
The pour day for the west half of the post-tension deck had excellent weather and everything turned out perfectly.
Tendon cables have been run in one direction and now workers prepare to string the perpendicular cables.
The installation of rebar and tendon cables for the southwest section of post-tension deck are nearly complete.
Rebar is going in fast on the east section of post-tension deck.
Rebar and tendon cables are on the deck and being placed in the southwest section already.
The large scale of the project can been seen from the high vantage point of the tower crane.
All the decking for the first level of post-tension slab is in place, and plumbing and electrical fittings are being placed. A large section of outside wall has been poured and can be seen being stripped in the background.
The area below the decking has been sealed in and is ready for heat if necessary.
Shoring and Skydeck panels are being constructed for the first level of post-tension slab.
The second half of the slab on grade has been cut and awaits shoring for the post-tension deck.
