Highpoint Retirement Community, West Seattle General Contractor: Colson and Colson This project consists of 50,000 square feet of slab on grade and additional work for a retirement community.
With a large portion of the slab now in place and the majority of footings poured, the project is coming along nicely.
A large section of retaining wall has been completed
in the southwest corner of the site.
About one third of the slab is now in place.
More of the slab wall has
been framed up and is ready for a pour. Grading for the slab is now
complete and the forms are in place. A view of the completed retaining wall
structure in the southwest corner.
Work is now beginning on the retaining walls which will be placed on the footing seen here.
Excavation work continues
for the drainage system, while framing for the slab is now in progress. These newly poured footings
will be stripped and prepped for the slab pour in the next few days. Footings for a garage are now completed
in the northwest corner of the site.
With the heavy rains behind us, work on
laying out the footings is back in full swing. The southern edge of forms for the slab
footing is now completed and ready for concrete. Numerous angles are going into the
footing layout to create a radiating slab pattern.
